This December, something new and very special is arriving on the York Road Corridor.
For the first time ever, the York Road Improvement District (YRID) is hosting a three-day York Road Pop-Up Holiday Market, transforming a neighboring vacant storefront into a warm, bustling pop-up filled with local makers, festive décor, and a spirit of community that reflects the very best of North Baltimore.
From December 18–20, the front retail space of 5604 York Road will come alive as 25 local vendors set up shop to offer handmade gifts, art, candles, ceramics, specialty foods, and one-of-a-kind items you won’t find anywhere else.
A Vacant Storefront Becomes a Holiday Destination
YRID is activating the former Full Tilt space at 5604 York road, opening roughly 1,000 square feet to create a vibrant retail environment for the community. The Market reflects a growing movement to rethink how vacant spaces can support economic development, creativity, and local entrepreneurs. The goal is simple: support local makers and bring people together.
And thanks to a zero-fee vendor model, this isn’t just another holiday market. Vendors pay absolutely nothing to participate — no table fees, no commission, no insurance cost, no financial risk of any kind. YRID handles all point-of-sale transactions, returns all unsold items, and provides event insurance to safeguard the entire experience.
It’s one of the most accessible, low-barrier pop-up opportunities offered anywhere in Baltimore this season.
